Great Family Outing… Great Charter Services in B.C. thanks Chris and Shawn for a great time! Kids happy that Chris set the hook for them as many would have gotten away if dad tried. And dad was happy that the kids not only reeled them all in but put fish in the cooler! Caught our Limit the first day out and in short order too. The stay at the lodge was most excellent; great people, great food, and the late afternoons and evenings spent with other folks from other charters chatting over the days experience and stories in between made the time fly by so fast. What better way to end our trip when having a tough day out with nothing but small ones is when our youngest went to real in the line at the end of the day she caught the last fish for the trip (just made it in size too). Want to go out and do this all over again, many thanks to Chris, Shawn and the great people at the lodge!
Successful Trip… We went out on June 28, 2017, and had an extremely successful trip. We caught our limit for Spring Salmon, caught two of three halibut our group was eligible for, and had made some excellent memories. What impressed me the most, was how much our guide (Chris) went above and beyond to get fish on our line. We had an 8hr charter from 6AM – 2PM. Because we hadn’t caught that last halibut, Chris kept saying “10 more minutes”, multiple times! We got back to the docks at 4PM,(unfortunately that last halibut was too stubborn), but it was clear to see that the guide had done all he could. Thanks again for a highly memorable trip! Fantastic Outing!… We had a group of 5 all lined up for an all inclusive trip (4 nights 3 days)! After a long 18 hour drive it was all worth it!! We stayed at the Barkley Sound Lodge that was a looked after by Shawn (Highly recommended, management group was fantastic, food was great and the rooms were neat and tidy). Chris (our guide) was absolutely awesome! Very personable and fit in well with our group. We had a great time with everyone at the lodge and Chris! We will be back sooner than later!! Lots of Salmon… Had a great time with my family out on 8 hour charter. I could tell Chris was very into fishing and he very quickly got us into a lot of salmon. I’m pretty sure we out fished most of the boats out there. Very nice fast boat as well which got us to the fishing grounds quickly. Make sure you bring multiple large coolers!
Top Notch Fishing Adventure… It has always been my dream to go salmon fishing in the ‘big ocean.’ That all became possible with Hot Pursuit Fishing Adventures. I didn’t have a reservations, so I took a chance and called them at last moment, when my husband (at 69) decided to take surf lessons! I certainly was not doing that – as I admit I am know for being clumsy! I called Hot Pursuit and got really lucky that they had just had a cancellation on a half day trip. I was worried that they would not want to just take me solo, but they offered me a reduced rate for a four hour trip. They were booked in the afternoon. I met Chris at the Marina at 6AM where he said his boat would be waiting…and we headed out to fish. In less than a half hour I got my first hit! Boy was that ever fun! I needed a little coaching to keep my line bent and let the fish run whenever he wanted. Within 5 minutes we got him in the boat (Chris is a great net man and teacher). He said the king salmon weighed 17 lbs!!! I was thrilled. I then proceed to lose the next two hits and got a bit frustrated with myself. But Chris kept his patience and by 7:45AM I caught my second fish – about 16 lbs. After Chris netted my second fish he said,”Well there’s your two fish.” And it was not even 8AM! I got so excited about my fish that I tripped and fell flat on my knees and my face hit the cooler…what a clutz…but I got my fish! Since we had our fish before my four hours were up, Chris took me touring by boat, to a few resorts and top notch lake homes in the area. My guided trip from Hot Pursuit was the highlight of my vacation. What an experience I will truly never forget. I sent 17 lbs of salmon home and I am planning a cookout party with friends. I am already trying to arrange another trip next year! Everything was just plain ‘top notch.’ A gorgeous boat completely equipped…& highly experienced and patient guide! This was a trip of a lifetime for me…..and I hope to come again next year!!! See you then Chris!!! Washburn, Wisconsin
Amazing Fishing Adventure…Two times was taken fishing adventure trip with Hot Pursuits. Shaun and Chris demonstrated professional fishing skills, friendly serves and care. Great Family Adventure!..My husband did his research and was selective in choosing Hot Pursuits for a unique family deep sea fishing experience and to fulfill a bucket list dream. My husband and I and our 19 and 17 year old sons joined Chris early morning on Canada Day to begin our adventure. Very nice boat, clean and beautifully maintained. Chris is professional and knows his stuff. He took us to various spots on our hot pursuit of Salmon and Halibut and delivered on what he said. While the salmons were relatively small, the “big guys” halibuts made up in size. Too many sharks had a go at our baits which made it an interesting experience. Overall, a great and unique family adventure. Returning to Ottawa with 66 lbs of fish. My husband came away happy with fulfilling that dream. Nathalie – Ottawa, Canada
Pacific Sports Fishing At Its Best… Our 2-day trip in August was our first time with Hot Pursuit, but it will not be the last! Chris and Shawn took excellent care of us; showing experience, skill and determination in finding the biggest fish possible. The boat was immaculate, the gear state of the art and in top notch condition. Leaving the harbor mouth with the twin 225’s opened wide, leaving the other charters trailing in our wake was a great way to start each day! Fantastic fishing, picturesque coastline views, and a pod of playful Orca to top it all off. We left with our limit, big smiles, and a promise to return. Thanks, gents!
Unforgettable West Coast Fishing Adventure… I have now been on two chartered fishing trips with Hot Pursuit Salmon & Halibut Charters, and both trips have been memorable and exciting experiences. Chris is a fantastic guide who knows where the fish are, and what gear to use to get the bite! He has a wealth of fishing knowledge and experience, and is a skilled guide. Sean is a personable and stand up guy and his boat (Code 3) was an absolute treat to be on – not only is it a gorgeous boat, but it is extremely well maintained and spotless. You can tell these guys take pride in their work and want their clients to have the best experience possible – not only did we get beautiful weather, but we were lucky enough to limit out on both our salmon and halibut this last trip! I will definitely continue to book all my trips with Hot Pursuit in the future. I am very grateful for the true west coast experience they continue to provide – going home with a cooler full of fish was a bonus! I highly recommend them for a great chartered fishing experience.
